Brave Steps Family

EFFECTIVE JULY 21, 2026

Privacy Policy

Brave Steps Family is an offline-first, caregiver-centered educational companion prepared as a proposed app concept for RISING WARRIOR CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION.

1. Caregiver-controlled use

The app is designed for a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult to control on a personal or shared device. It does not create child accounts or public profiles.

2. Information stored on the device

Family goals, selections, journal entries, and support-plan notes are stored only when a user chooses to enter them. They remain in Android app-private storage on that device.

3. Information not collected

The app does not collect or transmit account information, advertising identifiers, analytics, precise location, contacts, photos, camera uploads, microphone recordings, health records, behavioral profiles, or social messages. It contains no advertising or tracking SDK and operates no cloud database.

4. Optional journal export

The export control opens Android's share panel with user-selected journal text. The user chooses whether to export, which external app to use, and where to send the text. Brave Steps Family does not select a recipient or upload the export. The selected external app applies its own privacy practices.

5. Email and phone actions

Contact buttons open an external email or dialer app. Information a user chooses to send is governed by the selected service and recipient.

6. Children's privacy and safety

The app has no public child profiles, social feed, stranger contact, unrestricted adult-minor messaging, leaderboards, precise location sharing, or targeted advertising. Caregivers should not enter unnecessary sensitive information about a child.

7. Retention, deletion, and backup

Users control retention. Clear local data deletes goals, selections, journal entries, and support notes. Uninstalling removes app-private data subject to Android behavior. Cloud backup and device transfer are disabled.

8. Well-being disclaimer

Activities are general education only and are not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, medical treatment, crisis response, or emergency assistance. A caregiver should select appropriate activities and seek qualified local help when needed.

9. Changes

Material changes will appear in a future app or website update with a revised effective date.
